Things that annoy me about halloween

Worst.Day.Of.The.Year.

Firstly I've never celebrated it, as it means absolutely nothing and is just an excuse for kids to get free sweets from people they don't know and get very fat and ill and d-yeah you get me. But basically it's a day that's forcing homeowners to splash out on party packs of Haribo to then have to give away to snotty kids. It's just a massive waste of money, (and not to sound like a moody old nan) a massive strain on dentist bills...

Secondly, a lot of people might not actually realize this, but halloween just plain scares some people. Not really because of the costumes, but the fact that if they don't have sweets to give kids then they'll like pull a knife (probably not, but you can't be too careful in Chad) or maybe TP their house and spray obscene words on the walls. I understand that's the whole "trick" part of it...

Thirdly, my experiences with trick or treaters. Every halloween I myself am forced to turn off all the lights and close the curtains like it's frickin' World War 2 so people don't think I'm in and don't bother me. To be honest, I don't really think I should have to do that, but then it leads me back to not stocking up on sweets to give out...

It's an effort...And I hate putting in effort...to a day I dislike...and that's why I hate halloween.

Anyways, that's enough from me now.

Have a great rest of week guys!

Bye!! :)

Extract

Haven't done a post in a while, and I don't really have a great deal to talk about. So I'll leave you with an extract from a story I'm currently writing.

Enjoy!

Charlie the tortoise travelled down the school path one day, minding his own business, and staying alert incase of potential 'nappers. Until suddenly! An obnoxious school bell shrieked right through poor little Charlie's ears. A faint rumble could be heard in the distance, and almost immediately a herd a rowdy children raced up the school path. Charlie didn't have any idea what to do, so he quickly hid in his shell, and waited. The children all ran past Charlie, until a stray foot kicked him straight into the air. The little tortoise was in great panic, as the uncomfortable wind whooshed throughout his sanctuary. After a few minutes he gathered the courage to poke his head out, and he found himself upside down on top of an off-license roof. With all the strength he had in his tiny body, he started performing his back roll that he'd practiced many times before for such an occasion as this. He continued rolling, and rolling, and rolling, until he managed to pick up enough momentum to roll onto his side, then back upright again. Charlie let out a little sigh of relief and started walking along the roof. Without even a chance to think, his world suddenly went black...

TO BE CONTINUED

Anyways, have a great rest of week guys, and rest of half-term for those who still have it...A.K.A me... :P

See ya!

More bus situations...

Hey guys! Sorry I've not done a post in a while (Don't kill me!!).

So a couple weeks ago whilst on the way to college, me and my mate just happened to get on the most packed bus I've ever been on.

We were stood for near enough the whole journey, hanging for dear life on those weird handle things that swing about whilst the bus was just swerving everywhere. Then more and more people just kept getting on, so everyone was forced to go through the awkward process of piling into each other just to let one person past.

Then it was ok for a while, everyone had managed to acquire there own tiny bit of standing room. And then. Oh and then, to everyone's complete and utter horror, the bus was slowing down, and I could spot a large group of people waiting at a stop. So I thought, the driver can't possibly stop, the bus is too full. But he decides to just pick up the buggers anyway. So now everyone is forced to move down the bus even more, and totally block the gangway.

At this point everyone's literally thinking the same thing: "Not one more person could physically fit on this bus. If the driver stops to try and pick any more people up, he's insane." And so he didn't stop for a while. Until...we stopped off somewhere for someone to get off, and there was about 4 or 5 people ready to get on! Just looking around at peoples grimacing expressions, I could tell everyone had crippling doubts about the chance of them all fitting on. But miraculously, they did! I was actually amazed at how many people had managed to squeeze on to the bus.

Although the standing room was probably way past capacity, and my bag was in someone's face for the whole journey, the bus finally made it to a stop and a bunch of people got off. It was like when you really need a wee, and then you go a bit, like a bit of weight has been lifted off your bladder (Yeah, I'm not thinking of another visual metaphor so deal with it). And then we finally got to Derby City (The toilet), and all the wee, I mean uh people, rushed off successfully, to see another day.

That was the most emotional day of my life...Hah I kid, but seriously, I wanted to just curl up into a ball and shrivel up.

Aaaaanyways, that's all I have to say for now!

Have a great week guys!

Bye!!

Polluting the papers V

College

Just thought I'd do a lil post about this for once.

So I started in September, and it's been pretty good since. Am currently doing media, and apart from the mahusive workload, it's pretty bad-ass.

But socially, college gets a bit awkward.

Firstly, I don't know what it is, but when you're in lesson, everyone's like, mates, and we all get along. But for some weird reason, as soon as the lesson ends and everyone walks out the room, we all magically go back to not knowing each other, and like, all walk off in different directions. Maybe it's just me who thinks this, but for for first couple weeks, this happened literally every day.

Also, there's this really weird thing where like when you walk past someone from your secondary school that you kinda know and maybe occasionally talked to but aren't actually friends with, and maybe like nod, or just say "Hey." or "Hi." or whatever, (I don't know!!) to them, and they just walk straight past you, like they don't know you...freaky...

Anyways, I'm done, just thought I'd punch out another bland post. So there you go!

Might do another polluting the papers post in a bit, or tomorrow, I found a hilarious picture of a female newscaster looking rather shocked.

So yeah, have a great rest of week guys!

See ya!
